On Easter Sunday morning, the churches of the South Pinellas Connection—First United Methodist Church Gulfport, Clearview UMC, Lakewood UMC, and St. Luke’s UMC—gathered together in joyful worship to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. More than 100 people joined in this meaningful morning of hope, music, prayer, and community.
As part of the celebration, the Easter Sunrise Offering was dedicated to two incredible local community partners: The Funky Flamingo and Jax In & Out. These organizations faithfully serve and support so many people in the Gulfport community each and every day through compassion, generosity, and care.
This week, Pastors Tracie, Erick, and Ellie, along with Administrative Assistant Patti Redmond-Marshall, had the joy of delivering gifts of $405 each to these deserving organizations. These donations are a reflection of the churches’ shared commitment to loving and serving the community beyond the walls of the church.
We encourage everyone to visit and support these wonderful Gulfport organizations as they continue their important work of lifting others up and making a difference in the lives of so many.
